Individual and community events are organized across the country by people like you in support of the mission of Autism Speaks to fund research, increase awareness, and provide outreach and education. Constituents organize bowl-a-thons, car washes, golf tournaments and concerts, office fundraisers, sell items to raise funds in their neighborhood and participate in triathlons, runs, walks and more in support of Autism Speaks. All efforts, great and small, help support the efforts of Autism Speaks. GiveNow provides you with the tools to promote and support your efforts online.
How to Participate
If you would like to host an event or raise funds for Autism Speaks while participating in another event and would like to have a page for your event, please contact Brian Han, Community Events Coordinator, at givenow@autismspeaks.org or by phone at (323) 549-0500, ext. 771.
If you are participating in an event for which a group or team has already been created, please create a fundraising team of your own or join the GiveNow effort as an individual. When you do this:
Be sure to place yourself within the Group that applies to your event.
For example, if you are fundraising for the We Are…Curing Autism Now 5K Run/3K Walk at Penn State, when you create your fundraising team, please be sure to join the Penn State: We Are…Curing group.
You can solicit people to support you by giving them a direct link to your personal page.
You can search for groups (events), teams or individuals to support by clicking in one of the three boxes on the right hand side of this page to see more and find your match.
